Frequently Asked Questions
Feel confident and excited about your color analysis!
Here’s your quick guide to what to expect, how to prepare, and why it’s worth it.
About Color Analysis
-
Absolutely! I offer sessions for two or three people in my studio, as well as Mini Color Parties for groups of 2–8 in your space. It’s such a fun way to discover your colors together!
-
Not at all! My goal is to help you maximize what you already own. You’ll probably be surprised how many pieces in your current wardrobe already work beautifully with your season. I’ll also show you how to identify gaps so shopping becomes easier and more intentional.
-
For virtual sessions, you’ll submit photos in natural lighting (with no makeup or self-tanner) and join me on a video call. I’ll use the same process as an in-person session to identify your season and sub-season, and you’ll receive the same personalized recommendations and digital guide afterward.
-
Yes! Depending on your service, you’ll receive a digital PDF guide, outfit inspiration, hair and makeup recommendations, and a free color swatch fan book (mini & virtual sessions can purchase one for $25).
-
Color analysis is for everyone — men and women, all ages, and all stages of life! A few perfect times to invest in learning your colors:
Brides preparing for their big day
Job seekers and professionals wanting confidence in interviews or the workplace
Teens and pre-teens learning how to express their style
Adults of all ages wanting to simplify shopping, refresh their wardrobe, or boost confidence
-
No — your season is forever! Whether you’re tan or fair, young or mature, your season never changes. This means you only need a color analysis once in your lifetime, making it a truly lasting investment.
-
That’s no problem! While hair color is one factor in color analysis, your season is determined by the overall harmony of your natural features. Whether your hair is colored, highlighted, or graying, I’ll guide you through the process to ensure we find your most flattering palette. I’m also happy to recommend hair shades that will beautifully complement your season.
-
A Full Color Analysis includes an in-depth draping process, identification of your season and sub-season, plus tailored recommendations for makeup, hair, and wardrobe.
A Mini Color Analysis is a shorter introduction where we identify your home season and provide a one-page guide, with the option to upgrade later.

Preparation
-
For the most accurate results, please arrive with your true skin tone visible — no makeup, concealer, mascara, tinted moisturizer, or self-tanner. Avoid wearing a collared shirt or turtleneck, since they can interfere with the draping process (a simple scoop- or crew-neck works best). If you wear glasses, I’ll ask you to remove them during the appointment so we can see your natural coloring clearly.
-
MAKEUP. Please arrive with a completely clean face — no foundation, concealer, mascara, tinted moisturizer, or bronzing products. Makeup can change how your natural coloring appears and may interfere with accurate results, so for the best outcome we want your true skin tone visible.
SELF-TANNER. It’s best to avoid self-tanner before your color analysis. Since self-tanner changes the appearance of your natural skin tone, it can interfere with accurate results. To ensure the most precise analysis, please arrive with your true skin tone visible — no self-tanner, tinted moisturizer, or bronzing products.
Policies
-
Payment is due in full at the time of booking to secure your session. All payments are nonrefundable. You may reschedule your appointment with 48+ hours’ notice. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, your appointment will need to be rescheduled. No-shows are not eligible for refunds.
For group events, a $50 deposit is required to hold your date, with the remaining balance due 24 hours before your event. If your appointment or event runs over the scheduled time, additional fees may apply.
-
Out of respect for your experience (and mine!), appointments are reserved for adults only. Please make childcare arrangements so you can relax and enjoy your session without distractions.
